This course will introduce you to different conversational phrases, including how to ask basic questions such as “How are you?” and “What is your birthday?”.
The course contains a series of lessons that demonstrate how to construct a particular sentence in Japanese such as “Let’s go for a picnic”. You will learn the formal and informal methods of asking these questions, as well as using adjectives, the past negative, and particles.
From there, you will practice using different parts of speech to increase your understanding, learning new ways of using the past tense in the process. Lessons end with brief introductions to new Kanji, expressions, and vocabulary that will further increase your knowledge of the Japanese language.
PREREQUISITE: This course is the fourth in a series of four courses in the Japanese Language series. Before taking this course you should complete the courses “Japanese Language: Introduction to Japanese Scripts”, “Japanese Language Course: Introduction to Japanese Phrases”, and “Japanese Language: Time and Parts of Speech”.
