In this course you will become familiar with instructional or ‘how to’ language. You will be able to use phrases for giving instructions. There is a topic on articles: types, rules and applications. Understand how and when to use articles for times and places, when not to use them and how they are used with adjectives.

Learn about making emphasis and how to use adverbs and auxiliary verbs as intensifiers. Included in this topic is a presentation on sentence form, adverbial phrases and using adjectives (quantifiers) to describe nouns. Learn about cleft sentences.

In this course there are sections on phonetic translation; phrases for giving advice and using abbreviations in written texts.
